1. Entry fee exempt for Junior Fair Exhibitors
2. All exhibits to be placed on Thursday, July 21 , 2011
from 2-4pm and 7-9pm (pick-up 5-5:30 on Sunday)
3. Judging will commence at 9am on Friday, July 22 , 2011.
4. Entries must solely be the work of the person exhibiting. Work done by parents, teachers etc. will disqualify them from competition.
5. No item may be exhibited more than twice at this fair.
6. Any exhibitor can show in higher grade classes.
7. Junior Fair exhibitors can show in adult classes, providing the $5 membership fee is paid.
8. School grade as of January 2011.

Class 39A - Preschool
Prize Money: $2.25, $2, $1.75, $1.50
1. Any colouring page - colour and/or decorate
2. A stuffed animal dressed in RED (all items attached)
3. Decorate a wooden spoon~1st prize $5.00
4. Three items found on a nature walk(displayed- max 11x 17”)
5. Decorate and/or colour the word “HAT” on a page (8.5 x 11”)
Most points in Class 39A - $5

Class 39B - JK, SK & Grade 1
Prize Money: $2.25, $2, $1.75, $1.50
1. Any colouring page - colour and/or decorate
2. A stuffed animal dressed all in BLUE (all items attached)
3. Four items found on a nature walk (displayed~max 11x17”)
4. Decorate and/or colour the word “BOOT” on a page (8.5 x 11”)
5. Make a “LAMB” out of recyclables
6. Decorate a hat ~ 1st prise $5

Youth Poster Competition - Original Handmade Design

Entry Rules
1. Theme: “Promoting Your Fair” - Name and date of Fair must be clearly shown on poster.
2. Must be hand drawn
3. Poster size: Min. of 8.5” x 11” (23cm x 28cm), without border
Maximum of 11” x 17” (28cm x 44cm), without border
4. Each entry must be mounted on a black art card or bristol board showing a 2” border.
5. First prize winner qualifies to enter District Competition in Fall of 2011.
6. First prize winner at District qualifies to enter OAAS Competition at the Convention in February 2012. (See OAAS section of book for full Rules and details for other competitions)
7.Name of Fair, Disterict, contact person, owner of poster, and school to be clearly labeled on back of each poster for Disterict & Convention levels, hide this info at fair level.

Two Classes
A) Junior up to Grade 4.
B) Youth Grade 5 to Grade 8
C) Senior Grade 9 to Grade 12

Judging Standards
1. Overall Appearance - 20 points
2. Attract and hold attention - 30 points
3. Competition theme clear - 40 points
4. Quality materials / end product - 10 points
No monitary prize given at this level
