Exhibit hall - Culinary Arts (Domestic Science)

1. All exhibits to be placed on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm
2. Judging will commence at 9am on Thursday, July 24, 2008.
3. One entry per person or household in each section.
4. All exhibits in this class must be as specified, or not eligible for competition. Also, in case of no competition, unless the exhibit is worthy, the prize will be withheld.
5. Gift certificates and merchandise to be picked up at Secretary’s office after 4pm on Sunday.
6. Containers or bottled goods will be opened by the Judge.
7. All containers must be glass jars, no wax.
8. Exhibits should be on styrofoam trays, entry tag stapled to trays and in a plastic bag, tied.
9. The Exhibit Hall will be closed at 4:30pm on Sunday, July 27, 2008 until 5pm at which time exhibitors may pick their exhibits up.
10. All exhibits must be the produce of the exhibitor.

Chocolate Cake Auction

Bake and decorate a chocolate cake for our 151st Beachburg Fair!

To be auctioned Saturday at 8pm following Talent Showcase.

1. Cakes must be prepared and baked from scratch. No mixes.
2. Cakes can be any shape or size.
3. Cakes should be iced and decorated to portray either the theme of the Fair or some other aspect of the Fair. (This year’s theme is “Sheep”)
4. Display your cake on a plate or base with a cover.
5. Bring cakes to the Fair Office on Saturday July 26, 2008 by 1pm.
6. Cakes will be judged on the basis of taste, texture, appearance, workmanship and originality.

Proceeds from the auction will go towards the
upgrading of buildings on the fairgrounds.
